Steven Quale who served as the second unit director and visual effects supervisor on James Cameron's Avatar and the second unit director on Titanic, has signed on to helm Final Destination 5, which will be in 3D. Quale also worked on the visual effects for Terminator 2: Judgment Day and co-directed the documentary Aliens of the Deep with Cameron. The latest Final Destination will once again be produced by Craig Perry. A Nightmare on Elm Street screenwriter Eric Heisserer is penning the script.
